The heather clad Yorkshire moors come to Baldock!

This ripple effect crochet blanket is taking me a while, I began it back in February, it's now April, i'm 3/4 way through, it is inspired by the moorlands of Yorkshire and so starts with hues of greens (shown at the far left in the picture) and browns/ground and then through the fauna of heather tones and reaches into sky notes which I've just begun. The blanket will be bordered as well but that's a while off yet; it's made to fit a single bed, however it's soul purpose is that of draping around oneself when out on the patio during chilly evenings or very early mornings with a decent coffee.

It's one of several different styled blankets I've made.  The pattern and tutorial is free courtesy of Lucy's Attic blog site and the colour selection yarn pack amounts to around a rather doable £25.  Not bad for an heirloom piece that'll last for yrs is it?  Fun to make too, just as you begin to even think about getting bored with one colour it's time to change to a different one.
