'Shake' it up! ;-)

I decided since its a rainy day to make some cupcakes but with some colour, after looking in the baking cupboard and finding a bag of these strawberry chocolate buttons and a bag of dried banana chips I got inspired for some 'Milkshake Cupcakes'! why not?  
So I made normal vanilla small cakes and for the frosting I made a huge batch of buttercream but in one half i omitted half of the icing sugar and replaced that with strawberry milkshake powder and the other half likewise with banana milkshake powder; also adding a drop of food colouring to each batch of icing too - respectively.  

Once on the cupcake stand I sprinkled them all lightly with a pinch of edible white glitter.
