

woohooo, My take on the famous Red Velvet Cake I saw on Lorraine Pascale's 'Baking Made Easy' program. The only alteration I did was to omit the scary amount of red food colouring, in mine there is none. It was absolutely gorgeous tasting and fun to make. Lorraine's version is 3 tier but I only required 2.
I'd never used fondant icing before so this was my first effort. is hard to get it smooth but reckon I did okay. Used little red glass headed pins to hold the velvet ribbon in place at the back.
