Stunning, the poppy fields in Hitchin (north Hertfordshire) are at their best in June. Especially lovely since all we really have early summer are rape seed fields of bright yellow, so this makes a nice change and is rather pleasing on the eye. This was taken near 'The Wilbury' it was the name of the big old pub near Hitchin which has been closed for re-furb for some time so I don't know what it's called now?
