A Stitch in time....

hhm.... TAKES FOREVER!

I've been hard at these for a couple of yrs now and will be glad when they're done, the Egyptian dressed camel is a fine needlepoint tapestry by Isobel hunt  and the cross stitch is a kit I got at John Lewis, although can't recall the brand of it.

The latter will be framed on a wall in my dining room and the intention for the tapestry is to become a cushion as it comes with a lovely dark raspberry velvet case to make the back out of but I'm still torn, it might well be sent away and stretched and mounted on a canvas.... watch this space.  

 At least with cross stitch one i dont have to fill the background in!  phew!  :-)

What a god-send these embroidery hoops are. how did people manage before they were invented?
